Workshop: Tram transport between Liberec and Jablonec

Description

Discover the uniqueness of our city in a fun way and take home a decoration you’ve made yourself. This time, we’ll focus on a technical gem of our region – the longest intercity tram line in the Czech Republic, which has been an integral link between Jablonec and Liberec for decades.
You’ll try your hand at burning designs into plywood using a template and create your own graphic print featuring a tram motif. For our younger creators, there’s also the chance to make a wooden miniature of the tram.
The event is part of the year-round series of workshops “Jablonec and its Phenomena” led by instructor Pavel Zícha.
The workshop is aimed at artists of all ages, from 9 to 99 years old. It takes place on Saturday 7 November in the attic of the Jana and Josef V. Scheybal House, from 9 am to 5 pm in two-hour sessions. Each session has a capacity of 15 people; advance booking is required.

The creative workshop is organised by the Tourist Information Centre in Jablonec nad Nisou (Kultura Jablonec, p. o.). It is being held to mark the 160th anniversary of Jablonec’s elevation to town status as part of the “Jablonec and its Phenomena” project, with financial support from the Liberec Region.

General Information

Join us for a unique workshop focused on the longest intercity tram line in the Czech Republic. Participants will learn pyrography techniques to create their own tram motifs on plywood.
