WORKSHOP: POETRY WITH STRAW AND IKEBANA

What happens when straw, flowers, and small found objects come together? Surprising, poetic, and very personal artworks are created! In this workshop, Gabi Hangartner and Monika Wolf Hirsch invite you to experiment with simple materials and bring your own ideas to life. Inspired by the Japanese art of Ikebana and traditional straw techniques, playful arrangements are created – sometimes delicate, sometimes wild, sometimes completely unexpected. There is no right or wrong here: the focus is on the joy of trying things out, free creativity, and personal expression. Whether small or large, beginner or experienced designer – everyone is welcome. The intergenerational workshop is aimed at everyone between 5 and 100 years old. A creative afternoon for those who want to create with their hands, try new things, and discover the beauty of simple materials. General Information

The workshop takes place at the Swiss Straw Museum in Wohlen AG and invites participants to experiment with straw, flowers, and found objects. Under the guidance of Gabi Hangartner and Monika Wolf Hirsch, individual artworks are created that promote joy in creating and personal expression.
