Description

After the successful fourth edition of the Work & Bike'n'Hike Week in the summer of 2025, the municipality of Lenk, the Lenk cable cars, and Lenk-Simmental tourism are also organizing a week of volunteering this year to improve the infrastructure of the paths in Lenk. Mountain bikers and hikers are warmly invited, under the slogan "zäme under WÄGe". The trail construction professionals from Vast Trails will provide tips and tricks for trail building that is suitable for use and low maintenance. You will learn the basic techniques of trail construction and can put them into practice directly on a section of trail. Shoveling and digging will also be rewarded: For half the time, you will dedicate yourself to trail building, while the other half of the day, you can enjoy the region as holiday guests and have fun on the many paths while admiring the beautiful landscape of the Lenk-Simmental region. As a reward, free accommodation with half board awaits you. To conclude the week in a friendly manner, we invite all participants to a barbecue evening by Lake Lenk on Thursday night. Participants will also receive lift tickets for the entire week (Mon-Fri) and access to the Wallbach leisure pool. Registration & Application For the year 2026, all spots are already reserved. General Information

The Work & Bike'n'Hike Week invites mountain bikers and hikers to volunteer in trail construction while enjoying the beautiful Lenk-Simmental region. Participants will learn essential trail building techniques and have the opportunity to explore the area, culminating in a barbecue evening by Lake Lenk.
