Description
More than 60 years ago, Ernst Bloch wrote in the closing words of his work 'The Principle of Hope': 'Thus, something arises in the world that seems to everyone to be childhood and in which no one has yet been: homeland.' But what is homeland? What does it mean when we talk about it? Is homeland still important in a globalized world? Who is allowed to speak of homeland and when, and who perhaps isn't even there? Playwright Jörn Klare embarked on a journey across the 'Ländle', its borders and beyond, for his work on this world premiere. He met people who have always lived here or are just passing through. Others who want to leave as quickly as possible and those who are homeless – voluntarily or involuntarily. He weaves their stories and fates into a multi-voiced theater evening that tells the story of homeland in times of nationalism and right-wing shifts in a consistently different way. With '... where no one has been yet' – An Homeland Evening, a truly regional commissioned work for the LTT is created, which for this very reason develops a universal character.
