Oliver Gimber, known as "Witz vom Olli," is one of the most exciting discoveries in the German comedy scene. What started over ten years ago as a WhatsApp joke to a friend has developed into a viral phenomenon. Today, the Pforzheim native delights millions of fans on YouTube and Facebook and fills halls throughout the German-speaking world. Thanks to his impressive memory, Olli can draw from a repertoire of around 1000 jokes and has achieved cult status online. But his success is more than just comedy: with full body effort and deep gratitude for his fans, he makes people laugh – even in difficult life situations. "When fans write to me that my jokes bring them joy in tough times, I know why I do this." Olli always stays on eye level with his audience: before shows, he takes time for selfies and handshakes – a star who remains down-to-earth. His career takes him from sold-out stages to TV appearances on SAT.1 and RTL to a global reach of over 500 million views. Despite all this success, he remains a passionate craftsman: "My profession makes me happy, and it grounds me." With wit, heart, and craftsmanship, Witz vom Olli makes people laugh – and shows that comedy can be more than just entertainment. Copyright: Simon Tag
