"We create a colorful human chain together"

Description

In this creative participatory activity, we create a colorful human chain together as a symbol of diversity, cohesion, and community. At the beginning, various drawn or cut-out silhouettes of people are available – including children, adults, elderly people, people with disabilities, as well as different body shapes and personality types. Each person can design one or more figures according to their own ideas: with different hair colors, hairstyles, skin colors, clothing styles, accessories, or other individual features. This creates a colorful diversity that shows that every person is unique. At the end, all figures are connected hand in hand. This creates a large human chain that symbolically shows: Our differences make us strong, together we belong. The human chain will remain set up with us until 30.11.2026. The activity invites you to be creative, engage in conversation, and set a visible sign for inclusion, diversity, and mutual respect.

General Information

The event invites everyone to design a figure for a colorful human chain. This activity promotes creativity and exchange about inclusion and respect. The finished human chain will be exhibited until the end of November 2026 at Lindenbaum Chinderhuus in Pfäffikon ZH.
