Every year again: baking cookies, chopping down a Christmas tree, buying presents, and visiting the "Winter Magic" by "piano. vocal": The Christmas program of Oberkircher has become an integral part of the pre-Christmas season. For those few who have never been there and for everyone looking forward to the tenth visit: "Winter Magic" is a liaison of artists from different genres: Carsten Dittrich, trained at the Berlin University of the Arts and known in the region through the "Theater Fiesemadände" he founded, reads and performs "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. The story of the old miser Scrooge, who only realizes through the appearance of the Christmas spirits that a life without love, affection, and compassion is worthless, is musically interpreted by "piano. vocal". With piano and two-part singing – complemented by cellist Anne Heinrich in the Christmas program – Hannes Schmidt and Ralf Brandstetter deliver their songs and set to music poems with precision. So, an atmospherically dense program at the intersection of literature, poetry, and pop music can be expected! Oh, you beautiful wintertime…
