Description
What does it mean to feel welcome?
The exhibition "Welcome" shows portraits of people from our community – locals and refugees. They share their personal thoughts on belonging, respect, and humanity. The expressive portraits were taken by the Ukrainian photographer Andriy Kudin. Each portrait is complemented by a personal statement from the portrayed person: What makes them feel welcome? The exhibition focuses on what connects us – on wishes and experiences we all know. It invites you to meet people, learn about different perspectives, and reflect on your own understanding of belonging. Visitors are warmly invited to discover the portraits at their own pace, read the personal statements, and share their thoughts in the participation box:
"What makes you feel welcome in a new place?" The exhibition is free and open to the public during the entire month of November during the library's regular opening hours.
