«Willard» - the world's largest Triceratops

Description

Triceratops «Willard», owned by the Sauriermuseum Aathal, thrilled over 890,000 visitors at a dinosaur exhibition in Hong Kong in 2022. Now it is displayed in its actual home – for the first time in a museum in Europe. The largest known Triceratops skeleton to date was discovered in 2017 on a ranch in North Dakota, USA. During the assembly of this original skeleton at the Sauriermuseum Aathal, it became clear that it is an exceptionally large animal. The dimensions of 8.5 meters in length and 3.5 meters in height have not yet been reached by any other find of this kind.

In addition to the original Triceratops «Willard», the exhibition features ten more impressive skulls from the Ceratopsian family. These had developed the craziest horns and neck shields.
