Description

Marcus Clauss is a veterinarian, working in Switzerland since 2005 and co-head of the Clinic for Zoo, Domestic, and Wild Animals at the Zurich University Veterinary Hospital. He has researched digestive physiology, chewing, feeding, keeping, and the general biology of zoo animals throughout his life, and has dealt with the question of how old animals can get in zoos, and what opportunities and risks this entails. The lecture explores animal ethical questions regarding longevity and is part of the special exhibition «Tick Tack» at the Thurgau Natural Museum.
