Description
The Christmas singing with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra is part of several program lines this season with vocal works by John Rutter and Beethoven's Hymn to Joy. With the concert choir Klangwerk Lucerne, the choirs of the Lucerne Cantorei, the Lucerne Girls' Choir and the Lucerne Boys' Choir as well as the ChorTon vocal ensemble, a large Lucerne choir family is created. In the concert for listening and singing along for the whole family, there is time for theatrical Christmas stories between excerpts from John Rutter's «Mass of the Children», his orchestral meditations and Beethoven's «Ode to Joy». Thus, this early concert evening combines festive choral music, familiar Christmas atmosphere and the central Beethoven motif of the season: joy as a musical and human force.
