Hiking in the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch

Description

The four-day hike takes you from Langis through the impressive moor and karst landscape of the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch. On scenic border trails, the route runs from Glaubenberg along the Schrattenfluh to the foot of the Brienzer Rothorn and further into the Emmental. Hikers can expect protected natural and alpine landscapes with living traditions, crowned by the sweet finale at Kemmeriboden Bad with its legendary Merängge. Day 1: The tour starts from Langis over the Glaubenberg Pass to the Seewenseeli and on the Obwalden high trail via Trogenegg and Miesenegg to the saddle pass. It continues to Stäldeli and by bus to Flühli. Day 2: From Hirsegg, it goes through the core zone of the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch to Schrattenfluh and over the two Alps Silwänge and Schlund through moorlands to Salwideli above Sörenberg. Day 3: From Salwideli, the route follows the border trail Napfbergland over Salwidelizopf and Blatteschwand up to Blattenegg at the foot of the Brienzer Rothorn. It continues via Alp Schlacht into the valley and back to Salwideli via the Rossweid cable car. Day 4: On the last day, the border trail leads from Salwideli over Schneeberg into the Emmental and along Bärselbach to the Emme. The destination is the traditional Kemmeriboden Bad, where the hike concludes with the legendary Merängge. Services, prices, etc., can be found on the website.
