Description
In the series "Opening Act" we present to you young writers from Switzerland on 11 evenings in the 2026/27 season, each before a regular reading. In June 2026, they participated in the second Masterclass for young writers living in Switzerland, aged 18 to 28, led by Verena Rossbacher, under the motto "Plot, Twist, and Timing: How do I sharpen the dramaturgy of a text?" Flurin Brodmann (he/him) was born in 2001 in the provincial canton of Basel-Landschaft. The setting was normal; above were celestial bodies and below a gentle wind blew over the wheat fields, which some call the village spirit. His texts are inspired by this wind, permeated by it. He studies Slavic and Germanic philology at the University of Basel, so he enjoys reading outdated classics or memorizing Russian and Polish vocabulary.Highlights
