From Tschlin to Vienna – «Fränzlis da Tschlin» at Kulturtreff Rotfarb Uznach

The five virtuosos combine Engadine folk music with possible and impossible world music, moving between tradition, wit, kitsch, and wild joy of playing.
It is said that the «Fränzlis da Tschlin» even have homesickness when they are at home. With their program «From Tschlin to Vienna», they satisfy this longing and travel musically between Engadine and Vienna. The Inn connects Engadine and Tyrol much better than the Flüela Pass. The trinational relations are close: there is an exchange of labor, dumpling recipes, and waltz notes. You can hear lively marches, yodels, traditional pieces, and new compositions – perhaps the traditions of tomorrow.
