They combine music, dance, storytelling, fashion, beauty, food, and fan communities into complete pop worlds – and land directly in our everyday lives: on streaming platforms, in cosmetics shelves, restaurants, and ordinary supermarkets. But what exactly is K-Pop and J-Pop? Just music? Or a perfectly interconnected system of stars, stories, images, products, and communities? What makes Korean and Japanese pop cultures different from our Western habits?
