Description

Explora Live Show by Louis Palmer Even as a teenager, Louis Palmer wanted to drive around the world by car. But the money was only enough for a bike. So he started a daring trip through Africa with it. Later, he flew across America in an ultralight aircraft – including several crashes. This was followed by two world tours in a solar car, accompanied by heads of state and princes. His crazy adventure comedy show showcases the most ingenious inventions of our time: Impossible is nothing! For the construction of his solar car, he lacked not only 4 million francs but also any technical knowledge. After all, he was just a teacher. But he wouldn't be Louis Palmer if he didn't come up with a solution – and so his journey around the world began, accompanied by 1000 people, including federal councillors, director James Cameron, and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. On top of that, there was a huge media response. But that was not all: Louis Palmer designed the modern "Solar Butterfly," the largest solar-powered vehicle in the world, which looks like a butterfly. For four years, his team drove it around the earth and visited the most brilliant inventors of our time. Because for the man from Lucerne, it's not about problems but solutions. With his simple message for climate protection, Louis Palmer reaches hundreds of millions of people and is awarded the UN Environmental Prize in New York, presented by Gisèle Bündchen. At the Discovery Days, the entertainer impresses not only the jury with his action-packed show, from which he receives the prize for "Best Story," but also wins the audience award amid thunderous applause from the stands.
