Description

The Valais-Fribourg group Volver will present their fourth album "Arrocha" at La Spirale. The Valais singer-songwriter Pauline Lugon will be surrounded by her loyal companions, musicians and composers who have accompanied her since 2015: guitarist Claude Schneider, double bassist Arnaud Francelet, pianist Livia Marras, and drummer Luigi Galati. "Arrocha" was mostly recorded in Natal, a city in northeastern Brazil located by the Atlantic Ocean. A radiant source of inspiration for this new work, which is infused with sunshine and "saudade." The program features Latin Jazz that embraces the colors of Brazilian pop music (MPB), enriched with French chanson, where jazz improvisation—both instrumental and vocal—plays a central role.
