Watch the ringers at work and perhaps even release a bird yourself. On the Subigerberg, autumn is especially busy when migratory birds fly south. The ringing campaign lasts four weeks. Here, you immerse yourself in the fascinating world of bird migration. The interactive exhibition shows you the routes migratory birds take, where they rest, and how research and conservation contribute to their preservation. Through a viewing window, you can watch bird ringing up close – and outside, experience the bird migration directly in the sky. The station is open for visits during the day. No ringing takes place in rain, but the exhibition remains open. Clubs and groups are asked to register early. The visit can be combined with a hike over the Weissenstein or from Gänsbrunnen.
