This new city tour highlights individual fates, groups of people, and events in Villingen during the National Socialism era. The thematic arc spans from the Nazi seizure of power in 1933 to the fall of the Nazi regime in World War II in 1945. At various stations in downtown Villingen, city guide Ortrud Jörg-Fuchs discusses events and stories from the Nazi period, but also tells about the fate of members of the workers' movement, the Polish forced laborer Marian Lewicki, the Catholic Ewald Huth, and topics such as the economic and political development in Villingen during this time.
Meeting point is in front of the Franziskaner Cultural Center, Rietgasse 2, Villingen. The tour can be booked at the Tourist Information at the Franziskaner Cultural Center as well as at all advance booking offices in the 'Kulturticket Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg' network. Participation is only possible with registration. The Tourist Information reserves the right to cancel the tour if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
