WITH PAULA BIRCHLER Between Reality and Fantasy Paula Birchler (*2003 in Thurgau) is an Eastern Swiss designer who lives in Bern and studies Visual Communication there. During her high school years, she discovered her enthusiasm for the visual interplay of (moving) image and sound – a fascination that still influences her creative work today. Paula is an attentive collector in everyday life – searching for visual stories for her works. Leftovers and remnants, everyday trivialities, graphic patterns and surface structures, kitsch and bright colors — these fascinate the young creative for her projects.
