Description
We invite you to the festive opening of the exhibition Radomír Kratochvíl 80, held on the occasion of the author's significant life anniversary. The main subject of photographer Radomír Kratochvíl (* 1946) is natural light and its transformations. The author expresses himself in minimalist geometric forms. His approach to representation is quite unconventional – he creates objects that provide space for the viewer's imagination. After an initial phase of creation, inspired by the classics of Czech photography, he then shifted his interest to arranged objects. Thematically, he draws from reality, which he modifies using digital effects into a visual sign. He focused his selection of images on modified still life objects. The exhibition documents the development of his work from the 1980s to the present day. He dedicated himself to more serious work only after retiring – since 2006. The exhibition will be on view at the Vlastivědné Museum until 10. 1. 2027!
