VEFA Forró Concert and Jam

A special evening full of music and dance from northeastern Brazil. The VEFA association is organizing a concert, dance, and jam evening at the Galotti! So grab your loved ones, your instrument, your rusty dance shoes, and come by! Just a pinch of curiosity and a pair of open ears are enough to listen! VEFA plays two sets: 1. Set: Concert by our VEFA association. 2. Set: Open jam, where you are welcome to join in, depending on space and organization. Forró is a well-known music style and partner dance from northeastern Brazil. The term "Forró" can have various meanings and refer to the music genre, a specific musical rhythm, the dance, or even the event where it takes place. Musicians accompanying the evening include: - Sébastien Guarnay, vocals and Sanfona - Talitha Widmer, vocals and Triangle - Marcel Wirth, Zabumba - Thomas Gallmann, Pandeiro Concert and jam on collection basis Bar with drinks on site Forró is traditionally played with three instruments: Sanfona (accordion), Zabumba (a type of large drum), and Triangle, but can be expanded with various instruments.
