Description
Synthesizers Vagabeat – Drums, Guitar, Voice & Modular A musical collective between electronic music, improvisation, club culture, and visual art.
Three musicians come together: Nicolas Struchen on drums and electronic setup, Glauco Cataldo (aka Blind Boy De Vita) on guitar and voice, and Joel Banz on the modular synthesizer.
The focus is on immediate interaction. The instruments are connected and respond to each other: the drums influence electronic sounds and loops, guitar and voice are processed live, and the modular synthesizer creates and alters sound structures in real time. Simultaneously, visuals emerge from the musical activity and become part of the performance.
There is no fixed set in the traditional sense. Instead, prepared musical structures meet improvisation. Beats can dissolve, sounds evolve, loops are changed, and new forms emerge from small musical ideas. The three musicians constantly react to each other and decide together where the music is headed.
Musically, the collective moves between electronica, techno, jazz, ambient, blues, and experimental club music. The openness and spontaneity of improvisation meet the precision and sound aesthetics of electronic music.
Every performance arises from the moment – through listening, reacting, and developing together.
