Description
The ensemble performs open-air on the Hornisgrinde the program "BEETHOVENMANIA - FANTASIES ABOUT BEETHOVEN AND THE BEATLES". What if Beethoven had lived in the 20th century? Would he have become a jazz musician? Would he have played in clubs, shattered pianos with his large paws, or even founded a band - perhaps the "Beetles"? We don't know. What is certain is that about 150 years later, a new musical megaphenomenon shook the music world: the BEATLES. They also broke conventions, deconstructed songs, and reinvented themselves repeatedly. Their legendary album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band marked a turning point in pop history in 1967.
For several years, four musicians from the Ruhr area have been causing a stir with violin, viola, double bass, and accordion. With stylistic curiosity, virtuosic joy of playing, and great enthusiasm for experimenting, UWAGA! develops programs that playfully transcend musical boundaries and combine classical music with influences from jazz, pop, and world music into independent, surprising arrangements.
