Only a few British rock bands have survived for half a century – Uriah Heep is one of them. Since their debut Very ’Eavy, Very ’Umble (1970), the band has shaped melodic hard rock with classics like Gypsy, Bird of Prey, and Easy Livin’. In the 70s, they celebrated worldwide success with albums like Demons and Wizards and Sweet Freedom, selling over 40 million records. Their multi-part vocals and distinctive Hammond sound made them unmistakable – and in 1987, they became the first Western rock band to perform in Moscow. The band created a sound that has influenced generations – and continues to inspire today.
Their repertoire has proven itself over decades, and with even more new songs in prospect, Heep is as strong and powerful as ever. Familiar sounds, great emotions: We are very excited to welcome the cult band again on the Kofmehl stage.
