An escape game based on the true story of Budějovice smugglers and agents-walkers Jan Mašek and Jaroslav Kaska. "Enter the conspiracy apartment at the beginning of 1950 and get to the West! Besides courage, a sharp mind, and good teammates, you don't need anything else. However, knowledge of the principles of conspiracy and modern history may come in handy. Danger lurks everywhere, and the State Security is tightening the noose; there is no time to waste to escape to freedom!" With the arrival of the new totalitarian regime in 1948, many citizens of Czechoslovakia refused to accept it and decided to actively resist, whether by distributing anti-communist publications, providing information to Western intelligence services, smuggling, or becoming so-called agents-walkers themselves. Cooperation with Western powers was often motivated by reasons other than patriotism, yet active anti-regime resistance in the 1950s is today an unjustly overlooked phenomenon, which most of contemporary Czech society associates only with a few well-known names, such as Josef Hasil, the Mašín brothers, etc. Among the hundreds and thousands of people who at least attempted resistance against the communist regime in the 1950s were also two young Budějovice friends, Jaroslav Kaska and Jan Mašek. They became some of the most successful Western agents and smugglers.

General Information

The escape game "Operation Escape" takes place in a conspiracy apartment at the beginning of 1950. Participants take on the role of agents-walkers trying to get to the West. The game is inspired by real events and offers a unique view of anti-regime resistance in the 1950s.
