Únanovské posvícení

Description

The traditional autumn festival will take place in mid-October in Únanov near Znojmo. A folkloric weekend full of music, dance, fun, and an amazing atmosphere awaits you. The entire program starts on Friday at 7:30 AM with the felling of a tree designated for the high maypole in the middle of the village. Around 4:30 PM, the daughters will begin inviting the village to the festival with live music. On Saturday at 9 AM, the maypole will be decorated, and between 3 PM and 4 PM, it will be erected together. From 8 PM, there will be a dance party with the Dreams band, a performance by the Únanov chasa, a raffle, surprises, and plenty of other fun. The Sunday program will start at 8 AM with a mass at St. Prokop Church. After that, the Únanov chasa will invite the village accompanied by the brass band Dubňanka. The invitations will conclude with a ceremonial laying of a bouquet at the monument in the village square at 3:15 PM. Everything will culminate with the ceremonial introduction of the chasa under the maypole at 3:30 PM, followed by a procession, again accompanied by the brass band Dubňanka (until around 8 PM). There will be stalls, merry-go-rounds, and refreshments available at the pubs U hřiště, U Molíků, and na Besedě throughout the village.
