He is the most booked and, in the opinion of many critics and fans, the best Udo Jürgens interpreter: Alex Parker. For over 30 years and more than 1,000 performances, most recently with "The Udo Jürgens Story," the 51-year-old brings the "Udo Jürgens feeling" to the stage. Now, Parker is launching a new Udo concert tour in 2027. From January to May and October to November 2027, around 80 venues are scheduled. Parker is accompanied by a guest musician who has worked personally with Udo Jürgens. Together, they aim to bring the special moments of Udo Jürgens' live concerts to the stage — from sensitive to euphoric, enriched with personal anecdotes — and thus keep the work and legacy of the exceptional artist and world star alive. Udo Jürgens was not a "typical" star or schlager singer live — his concerts had a unique, timeless, almost intimate quality. He had the ability to make even performances in huge halls feel personal. Whether arena or concert hall — he addressed the audience directly, told stories between songs, and created a closeness usually only experienced at smaller concerts. Songs like "Greek Wine," "I Know What I Want," or "I’ve Never Been to New York" gained an extra dynamic on stage because he varied tempo, expression, and dramaturgy. Often, the feeling remained: you hadn't just heard a series of hits, but experienced an evening with attitude, personality, and genuine musical substance. Alex Parker and his guests want to evoke this special feeling. Parker performs live at the piano and interprets evergreen songs like "Merci Cherie," "An Honorable House," "But Please with Cream," "At 66," "Greek Wine," "I’ve Never Been to New York," as well as many other hits and lesser-known titles like "The Swallows Fly High" or "Glut and Ice." Between songs, he shares stories of his encounters with Udo Jürgens — with humorous and moving anecdotes that offer the audience new insights into the life of the unforgettable entertainer. He is accompanied — musically and anecdotally — by true companions of the exceptional musician. Alternating performers include violinists Annette Maurer and Mona Seebohm. Both have accompanied Udo Jürgens on his tours. They are meant to enrich the concerts not only musically but also with their own experiences and reports, creating special moments.
