Description

How does a functioning machine come into being from many individual parts? And how do you make it work completely on its own? In the Tüftel workshop, you discover how a machine works and build your own soap bubble machine. Step by step, you assemble the individual components and bring your machine to life. You can screw, plug, wire, and test, learning how propellers, motors, and servos work together. Your brain is also involved: you program your machine yourself so that it produces hundreds of soap bubbles independently at the push of a button. Along the way, you'll learn how a program controls a motor and why a machine only becomes such through the right interaction of its parts. During construction, you can observe directly how mechanics, electronics, and programming work together and what determines whether your machine blows soap bubbles into the air. The highlight is the tour through the Schaudepot Tösstal, where you see the machines that people in the region tinkered with in the past. You can marvel, compare, and find out how much inventive spirit was already embedded in the technology of those days. The best part: no prior knowledge is necessary. All you need to bring is curiosity and joy in tinkering. At the end, you take your self-built soap bubble machine home and gain many new impressions from the world of technology. An experience that combines manual skills, technical understanding, and joy in programming in a playful way. The Tüftelwerkstatt Zürioberland takes you to where technology is created. Together with innovative companies, you can tinker, try out, and build your own projects. Thanks to the support of regional partners, participation remains affordable for families.
