True Loves

Listening to the rich sounds of the funk and soul band True Loves from Seattle, you feel as if you're strolling down your favorite street in your neighborhood, meeting friends, chatting with shop owners, and perceiving the familiar smells of your favorite places. The band is like a block party in itself. What started in 2014 as a jam session among three of the city's best musicians — drummer David McGraw, bassist Bryant Moore, and guitarist Jimmy James — has since developed into a global force. The group also includes percussionist Iván Galvez, trombonist Greg Kramer, and saxophonists Gordon Brown and Skerik. The group's live performances have earned them much applause and millions of streams on YouTube. In 2017, True Loves recorded their debut instrumental album "Famous Last Words," which received worldwide acclaim and led to performances at coveted music festivals. In 2018, the group released the 45rpm single "Dapper Derp/Kabuki" on WeCoast Records, followed by the 45rpm single "Famous Last Words/Mary Pop Poppins" on Colemine Records in 2019. Their second album, "Sunday Afternoon," was released in 2021 on Color Red Music. In 2024, the band released their latest album, "Good Weed and Red Wine," and embarked on their second European tour. In January 2025, the second single "Dopus No. 1" was released, and on Valentine's Day, both songs were issued on a 7" vinyl single.
