Description

Founded in Luzern in 2023, Trio Salquin is dedicated to exploring the unique genre of string trios, with a repertoire that ranges from classical to contemporary music. The ensemble, named in honor of Swiss pianist, composer, and conductor Hedy Salquin, has achieved recognition as a finalist at the European Chamber Music Competition 'Wolfgang Meyer' and was selected for the Swiss contemporary music competition 'Concours Nicati'. Comprising members with diverse backgrounds and extensive chamber music experience, the trio aims to present innovative and lesser-performed works to audiences. Their studies at the Hochschule Luzern and Hochschule der Künste Bern have shaped their artistic development.
