This extraordinary concert features Trio Battida, comprising Claudia Dischl on piano, Matthias Roth on piano, and Luca Staffelbach on percussion. They perform arrangements of works by Strawinsky, Shostakovich, Bartok, Piazzolla, and more, showcasing a fusion of energetic ballet music from Eastern Europe and the sensual sounds of Tango Nuevo. The program includes highlights from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, Strawinsky's Danse infernale, Bartok's Romanian Folk Dances, Chatschaturjan's Sabre Dance, and excerpts from Shostakovich's Suite for Variety Orchestra. The second part is dedicated to timeless tangos by Astor Piazzolla, blending Argentine tradition with classical and jazz influences.
