Trio AMANE "Contrasts - from Mozart to Film Music"

Description

Works by Rota, Hurlstone, Mozart The Kegelstatt Trio by W. A. Mozart can undoubtedly be called a "hit" of Viennese Classicism. The Trio AMANE combines this masterpiece in a tense arc with unknown pearls of chamber music literature: with the Trio Miniatures by Paul Juon, the audience encounters Russian folk sounds of the turn of the century, while the G major Trio by William Hurlstone takes us to high Romantic England. The journey ultimately ends in the 1970s in Italy with the lively Trio by film composer Nino Rota. This work is considered an absolute audience favorite and comes from a tumultuous year for Rota, in which his film music for "The Godfather" was nominated for an Oscar.
