Tribute to Hana Hegerová in Brandýs nad Labem

Description

Tribute to Hana Hegerová performed by Zuzana Němcová Šmejkalová A musical experience you won't soon forget. You will cry, laugh, and get goosebumps. We have played for thousands of spectators — full halls in Ostrava, Poděbrady, Kutná Hora, Náchod, even in the Výpustek cave. The Prague Church of St. Simon and Jude (FOK) and the amphitheater in Olomouc. Municipal theaters, chamber halls, churches. Twenty-five chansons, two hours of memories. Bar stool, My God, Milord, The Sullen Guest, Cherries… songs that only need space to breathe. Then they will catch you. Zuzana Němcová Šmejkalová — a singer with a velvety, deep voice and an acting memory in every syllable. She does not imitate Hana. She brings her back to life. Piano — Jana Otáhalová, a genius virtuoso. Under her fingers, the piano does not just play, it tells a story. Drums — Jakub Němec, a "multi-armed" drummer with a sense of when to play more and when to step back. “Hana Hegerová cannot be imitated. One can only extend the life of her work and respectfully look into it. Long live Hegerová.”
