If you have heard about the tours of Hotel Medlov and wish to visit us, then you are in the right place. In 2024 and 2025, over 2000 enthusiasts visited the tours, interested not only in the history of this place but also in its artistic and architectural value and significance, which this collection of buildings holds on a European scale. In 2026, we warmly invite you to tours of the hotel with owner Jan Piskoř. You can look forward to 2x 45 minutes full of stories, architectural curiosities, and places not usually accessible to the public. The first part MEDLOV FUNCTIONALIST focuses on the tour of the functionalist building of Medlov, built in 1934 according to the designs of architects Pavel Smetana and Alois Wachsmann, which is the only building of its kind that has survived from their joint work. The stories of this period are connected with the original owners of Medlov, Leoš and Aglaiou Stehlík, and a number of prominent personalities who were their great friends and strong supporters of their idea to create "Medlov - a paradise newly found," as this place was referred to in the texts of writer Jan Drda. The second part MEDLOV BRUSSELS focuses on the Brussels building, constructed in 1974 according to the design of architect Jiří Herzán in the style of progressive Brussels, inspired by the successful period motivated by Expo 58. The interior and exterior of the building are mostly preserved, including significant artworks and original furnishings, which are undergoing gradual renovation. It is one of the few objects whose authenticity is preserved to this extent and continues to serve its original purpose to this day.
