Tinu Heiniger and Gere Tschan

Description

The Old Man and the Beast Heiniger about Heiniger and Tschan "The audience notices how Tschan and I work together, how we pass the ball to each other, how I give Tschan a perfect pass, how he takes it, how he outplays all defenders, sends the goalkeeper to the wrong corner, and volleys the ball into the bottom left corner, how the audience screams and cheers, and how the banners and club flags dye the stadium in bright colors, and how, spurred on by the roaring stadium, we blow the next hot attack. Then we briefly disappear into the dressing room with hearts pounding wildly and sweaty attire, only to reappear and dive into the second half, and to continue trying to reach the top of the iceberg and the Bundesliga, not shying away from deception, rule violations, or mean tackles from behind, so as not to disappoint our loyal fans in the south curve. Spicy and agile, full of mockery and scorn, we run across the green field, blow the horn, press the keys, rattle and torment ourselves with pickaxe and rope into the heights, scream and yodel our hearts out, sweat and swing happily through the evening skyward."
