Thomas Scheytt is considered "one of the best contemporary Boogie and Blues pianists. He combines high pianistic skill with an incredible, deeply felt expressive diversity" (Jazzpodium Germany). Scheytt is one of the busiest musicians in the European Blues and Boogie scene. For over 20 years, he has performed not only as a soloist but also with his trio Boogie Connection in jazz clubs and festivals both domestically and abroad — including four times at the world-famous New Orleans Jazz Festival in Ascona. Scheytt has received multiple awards. He gained particular recognition with his CD Blues Colours, which was nominated for the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik, and he is a two-time winner of the German Blues Award 2015.
