In his new program KAMISI, entertainer, parodist, and voice acrobat Thomas Nicolai catapults the audience back to the 80s – a time long before streaming, Spotify, and playlists. Back then, you still had to hunt for music: with the cassette recorder in front of the radio. And if the host talked over the song too early, everything was ruined. "Band salad" was not a meal, but a drama – especially without a pencil. What follows are two hours of pure entertainment. Comedy, music, parody – tempo, wit, and playfulness without a break.
Musically, it ranges from Depeche Mode, Suzanne Vega, and Soft Cell to surprising excursions to Max Raabe and Coldplay. Nicolai jumps virtuously between voices, characters, and songs – igniting a real fireworks display of parody.
