Description
This is about Martin Heidegger, a philosophy professor at the University of Marburg, and his student Hannah Arendt, captivated by his intelligence. Soon, Martin and Hannah become lovers. But Hannah is Jewish and revolted by Hitler, while Martin sees in him a renewal for Germany; he even joins the Nazi movement for a time. Their love is so powerful that even ideas waver, in a desperate attempt not to understand, but to forgive or seek forgiveness... Despite the gap that separates them, the lovers meet regularly. This impossible and passionate love unfolds tumultuously, between sensuality and the violence of the debate of ideas that tears them apart. A struggle between heart and conscience, portrayed with striking accuracy by Sabrina Martin and Frank Semelet.
