Theater Muotathal 2026 " Dr Fischer vo Spiez"

Description

Stefan Iten is very suspicious of his wife, his sister, and the neighbor Michael Camenzind. When his brother Christian returns home after years of absence, jealousy arises in Stefan towards his wife Lisa and his brother. The suspicious Fischer is also troubled by his financial difficulties, which have arisen not least because of his lack of self-control and his alcohol consumption. Although Lisa tries everything to free him from his troubles, Stefan becomes increasingly suspicious. With unnecessary suspicions and uncontrolled outbursts, he terrorizes his relatives. The situation finally escalates when his neighbor Michael Camenzind incites the herbalist Emilie to spread a rumor: that Stefan's wife is having an affair with his brother Christian.
A fire makes the worries even greater. Fortunately, the servant Guschti can extinguish the fire in time despite the injury inflicted on him by the arsonist. In his boundless rage, Stefan goes out onto the lake despite a storm. Since he is absent for days, the worst is feared.
The suffering Lisa learns from a letter from the herbalist Emilie that she was incited to give false information to the innkeeper. When it also turns out that Lisa's pregnancy test is positive, she collapses. She is taken into the arms of the concerned Christian - and at that very moment Stefan returns.
Nevertheless, there is a happy ending. The arsonist is caught and Stefan can be freed from his hatred and suspicion through the love of his wife. The servant Guschti, the maid Sophie, and last but not least Emilie, called "ds Chrütermiiggäli," ensure that this profound play also contains a certain cheerfulness through their nature.
