The story of a young girl who, even in times of persecution and fear, preserves hope, courage, and a zest for life - a moving theater experience. Anne Frank is 13 years old when she receives a red checkered diary from her father for her birthday. Together with her family, she lives in Amsterdam. When her sister Margot receives the call for "Labor Service to Germany" on July 5, 1942, the Jewish family must go into hiding to prevent their deportation to a concentration camp. The family now lives hidden in the back house of Otto Frank's company for two years, and Anne writes in her diary about her daily experiences, fears, and hopes. "So much has happened, as if the world suddenly turned upside down.
