The Upsessions from Holland have long been an institution in the worldwide traditional Ska and early Reggae scene. Their sound is 100% authentic and is further enhanced by influences from Calypso, Mento, and Funk. Their music has style and patina, is extremely groovy, and stands out through soulful vocals, multi-part backing vocals, great brass and percussion inserts, and a driving organ. Since 2005, they have been performing in their green-yellow tracksuits on stages across Europe, headlined at the 'Carnaska Festival' in São Paulo, Brazil, and have performed as opening acts for musical heavyweights 'Madness' and 'The Specials', and have collaborated with the legendary Jamaican artist and producer Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry. They have released five albums and ten singles so far, some of their tracks have been used in movies and TV series, and they have had live radio performances. For the first time live at Oxil!
