THE LEMON TWIGS (US) Rock pop 60's The two previous albums by The Lemon Twigs, A Dream Is All We Know (2024) and Everything Harmony (2023), marked a new creative start. With their sixth studio album, Look For Your Mind!, the duo continues this evolution: beneath a bright pop appearance lie paranoia and distrust. The record develops their harmonic and guitar style, more precise than ever. A major novelty: the arrival of live musicians like Reza Matin, Danny Ayala, and Eva Chambers, bringing an unprecedented collective energy. Between retro orchestrations, experiments, and excellent compositions, the album blends the pop heritage of the 60s with a very contemporary outlook. COUP DUR (FR) Soft punk sixties Born somewhere between Brussels and Paris last spring, Coup Dur brings together Clémence D'Hulst (also in Fake Empire) on bass and vocals, Avril De Broucker (also in Lavomatic) on guitar and vocals, and César Laloux (formerly in Ada Oda). The trio draws a fragile and electrifying line between the insolence of 60s girl bands and the lo-fi romanticism of soft punk from the late 70s and 80s — reminiscent of Squeeze, the Feelies, or the Pastels, but also the Calamités. Their songs, short and sung in French, deliberately cultivate a form of primitivism that highlights the irony and naivety of their lyrics.
