The Jeremy Days were one of the few bands from Germany in the late 1980s to make it onto MTV at a time when that was still reserved for the biggest acts. With "Brand New Toy," they landed a kind of evergreen that is still frequently played on the radio today. Their blend of British pop and American art rock took them through ten years and five albums with legendary producers like Clive Langer, Alan Winstanley (for Madness, Elvis Costello), and Fred Maher (for Lou Reed, Lloyd Cole), and through the major clubs of the country, including a UK tour. By the end, they had sold over half a million records by 1995. No one dared to believe in a reunion when The Jeremy Days suddenly took the stage at the sold-out Hamburg Docks in 2019 after 24 years of silence, playing a thrilling concert evening that was described as "for the history books of pop music" by NDR television. The band, led by singer Dirk Darmstaedter, was back. Would they stay? On March 25, 2022, the energetic new album "Beauty in Broken" was indeed released. It is the group's first new release since 1995 and reached number 21 on the German album charts! After an extensive tour in Germany in the fall of 2023, the band will come together as 'the Jeremy Days acoustic group' for selected 'unplugged' shows. Classic jdays songs, tracks from the new album, and selected 'deep cuts' in a relaxed, acoustic form, along with stories and anecdotes from 35 years of band history.
