Description

The Marchepied Cie presents two dance pieces with an intermission in between. “Tempo Zéro” or Manifesto for a Chosen Time – What if slowness were a form of resistance? In a time that relentlessly pressures us and demands speed and constant acceleration, “Tempo Zéro” confronts colliding speeds on stage, juxtaposing lightning-fast gestures with contemplative silence to show what the body is still capable of when it resists the compulsion to always go faster. This contemporary dance piece not only states that we should slow down: it allows us to see and feel this as a physical and political given.
