Description

Nine-year-old Elisabeth returns for summer vacation to her family living at a research station in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, as her father works there as a cartographer and jungle expert. Soon after her arrival, her father falls from a ladder and needs treatment, so her mother has to take him to the hospital. Elisabeth offers to take care of her little and very restless brother Leo in the meantime. However, she finds this quite boring and prefers to have her nose buried in a book instead of watching him. When she finally looks around a little while later, she discovers that Leo has wandered off into the jungle.
