Techtle Mechtle revue – currently the most successful Czech show on the theater scene. Throughout the year, it performs up to 200 reprises of theatrical performances across the Czech Republic, which are sold out well in advance. A combination of musical, drag show, drama, and cabaret that promises an unforgettable evening full of laughter and music. There’s just one catch – all roles, including female ones, are played only by men, who are indistinguishable from real women, which will certainly confuse you. The performance “Hello, This is Mom” is a crazy musical comedy about what happens when maternal love crosses all boundaries. Dan is celebrating his 31st birthday and decides to introduce his eccentric mother to his new love – Terezka, a sweet vegetarian. However, the mother-in-law is not thrilled and decides to show Dan and his fiancée how to properly take care of her son. When the mother-in-law moves in with the young couple and starts to “improve” their lives, a hellish situation full of music, laughter, and crazy scenarios begins. The audience can look forward to an energetic story full of unexpected twists, funny songs, and one very determined mom who (maybe) ultimately realizes that everyone has the right to live their own way.
