The band Swing de Paris consists of Winterthur violinist Sophie Lüssi, the two Lucerne musicians Felix Brühwiler on guitar and Claudio Strebel on double bass, and Glarus singer and drummer David Beglinger.

Founded in 2005, the quartet initially played almost exclusively Gypsy Jazz, heavily influenced by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. Over the years, the group has become more open to other styles. Newly discovered gems from the golden age of American swing, as well as original compositions, now take center stage.

The repertoire is diverse and contrasting: unison passages, slap double bass, sung ballads, swing, waltz, up-tempo pieces. In many songs, Swing de Paris almost sounds like a quintet because drummer and singer David Beglinger confidently plays drums and sings simultaneously.

Swing de Paris has already released several recordings (Douce Ambiance, Au Lac, The Song Collection) as well as some live concert recordings. Their music is regularly played on Radio Swiss Jazz.
