Susan Hefuna was born in 1962 and grew up in Egypt, Germany and Austria. She now lives in Germany and Switzerland. Her artistic practice encompasses drawing, photography, installation, video and performance.
Susan Hefuna explores the interplay of place, time and perception. Her works reflect the duality of public and private spaces and open up new perspectives on subjective perceptions and realities. Hefuna's works tell poetic stories of cities, landscapes and cultural dialogues and invite visitors to immerse themselves in her artistic world and perceive connections across borders. A particular focus of the exhibition is on the cultural region of Graubünden and its relationships with the world.
