Sunrise trip to the Brienzer Rothorn

Every Sunday from July to September 2026, the Sörenberg-Brienzer Rothorn aerial cableway takes you in comfort to the highest peak in Lucerne - the Brienzer Rothorn. It takes just 10 minutes to reach the summit in time for sunrise. The Brienzer Rothorn lies at 2,350 m above sea level and offers a breathtaking 360° panorama of 693 mountain peaks.

🎶 The dawn is now accompanied by the traditional sounds of the alphorn.

A valid ticket is required for the cable car ride. The Magic Pass is not valid. After the colorful spectacle, you can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast buffet of regional delicacies in the Rothorn summit restaurant if you make an additional booking.

General Information

Every Sunday from July to September 2026, visitors can take the cableway to the summit of the Brienzer Rothorn to experience sunrise views and alphorn music. Tickets must be booked in advance, and the event includes a panoramic view of mountain peaks. An optional regional breakfast is available after the sunrise spectacle.
